YOU ARE INVITED TO The Viejas Foodtasia: Burlap and Silver Gala to benefit the Food Bank. Our 72,000 sq. ft. warehouse will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind venue for an evening of rustic elegance. Starting with a silent auction and reception, guests will enjoy delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with live music by Josiah the Musical Storyteller. Dinner will feature dishes prepared by eight of San Diego’s leading chefs who are volunteering their time and talents to support the Food Bank. And the evening’s program will be hosted by emcees Kimberly Hunt and Billy Ray Smith which will include a live auction hosted by Jack Berkman.

During the evening’s program, Lori Raya, president of Vons, will receive the Food Bank’s annual Eugene “Mitch” Mitchell Community Hero Award in recognition of Vons’ support for the Food Bank. And following the program, guests will be invited to dance to the music of singer and pianist Andrew Johns who is best described as a combination of Billy Joel and Elton John.

The evening will support critical Food Bank hunger-relief programs including the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. You then select the bottle with the corresponding number to your cork and receive a secret bottle of wine wrapped in burlap off the uniquely crafted wine wall.
