Chris oversees all marketing, communications, and governmental affairs for the Food Bank. Chris joined the Food Bank in 2008. In 2009, he was the architect of the Food Bank’s rebranding program. Chris manages all media outreach, cause marketing campaigns, the Food Bank’s website, all printed collateral, digital marketing programs, SEO strategies, and government relations at the local, state and federal level. Chris currently serves on the California Association of Food Bank’s Public Policy Committee. He is a member of the San Diego Hunger Coalition’s Hunger Advocacy Network. He is also a member of the San Diego Public Relations Society of America, the San Diego American Marketing Association, and LEAD San Diego’s Alumni Association.Originally from the United States, Chris moved to San Diego from England where he attended college and worked as Director of Public Affairs for the British Property Federation (BPF), the UK’s national trade association for the commercial property industry. Prior to joining the BPF, Chris worked as a Research Associate for the Adam Smith Institute, one of the UK’s leading economic think tanks. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, Chris worked in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher for the JET Programme and was stationed in Kamaishi City on Japan’s east coast. This was followed by a year teaching business English to corporate executives in Tokyo. Chris holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of London.
