Daniel Chacon

Director of Warehouse Administration

Daniel Chacon is the Food Bank’s longest-standing employee  having served the organization for over  twelve years.  As the Director of Warehouse Administration, Daniel oversees all warehouse operations including fleet, equipment, facility maintenance, and logistics. During Daniel’s tenure, the Food Bank moved locations three times before a final move to its current and permanent location in Miramar. Daniel managed all four moves and ensured that they did not interrupt any food distributions.Under Daniel’s leadership, the Food Bank added 3,600 sq. ft. of refrigeration and freezer space.  In addition, he improved all inventory procedures and the efficiency of our warehouse operations.  Prior joining the Food Bank,  Daniel managed a branch store for Calimax, of one of Baja California’s largest supermarket chains. Daniel has expert mechanical knowledge and has saved the Food Bank considerable maintenance costs by repairing the Food Bank’s fleet and equipment himself. Daniel is a certified forklift trainer and a certified drug and alcohol awareness expert. Daniel is married with three children and one grandchild.
