Volunteering at the San Diego Food Bank is a great team-building experience for groups of various sizes. Whether you are a large corporation or a small club, your group will work together on a hands-on project for the hungry. If you have a group of less than five, each volunteer should register as an individual. As long as you sign up for the same date and shift time, you will still get to work together.
Middle And High School Group Volunteers
Middle and high school student groups are welcome to volunteer at the Food Bank.
Volunteering at our warehouse provides students with an opportunity to give back to the community and learn first-hand about hunger and hunger prevention.
All school groups must have the appropriate ratio of chaperones to students (4 students for every 1 adult).
For a group of five or more to sign up, please nominate ONE person to contact Xavier Hernandez via email at least one month in advance. Please have a few dates and shifts in mind, shifts fill up fast so your first choice may not be available .
All volunteers MUST read our Policies and Procedures Document
