June 1 - June 30
From June 1 to June 30, you can help the San Diego Food Bank and our North County Food Bank chapter feed children living in poverty and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic during our School’s Out, Hunger’s Not – COVID-19 Summer Food Drive.
While San Diego County is seeing improvement in the economy with state reopening guidance, tens of thousands of families continue to suffer from the economic impacts of the pandemic. Coupled with this, child hunger is at an all-time high with local schoolchildren having limited or no access to free school meal drive-thru distribution locations.
With the community’s support, this year’s School’s Out, Hunger’s Not – COVID-19 Summer Food Drive will raise vital food donations and funds to feed children and families facing food insecurity in communities throughout San Diego County.
