The San Diego Food Bank is asking our supporters to help us provide emergency food to vulnerable families affected by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and our North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. The Food Bank distributes food to those in need at 200 distribution sites across the county as well as through 500 nonprofits with feeding programs.
What is a Virtual Food Drive?
Our Virtual Food Drive allows Food Bank donors to select and purchase food items securely online to donate to the Food Bank.
It’s easy! Donors can purchase nutritious food items for the San Diego Food Bank to distribute to individuals and families in need.
Why use the Virtual Food Drive?
The answer is simple – to get more food to those facing hunger in our community faster. By holding your food drive online, you will save the Food Bank the time and resources incurred through a physical food drive. Plus, your donations will help us purchase more of our most-needed food items in bulk such as canned meats, canned vegetables, canned fruits, peanut butter, oatmeal and cereal.
