The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter Day Saints’ congregations throughout San Diego County are teaming up with the Boy Scouts of America San Diego-Imperial Council’s Scouting for Food campaign to collect nonperishable food donations for the San Diego Food Bank and our North County Food Bank chapter.
Most Needed Food Items include:
- Canned meat and fish
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Canned soup
- Peanut butter
- Oatmeal and cereal
- + more!
Donations can be dropped off at designated locations (listed below) throughout the month of March, and will end with a big culmination event on Saturday, March 30.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Those who plan to drop off donations at the culmination event are encouraged to volunteer and help sort donations.
Don’t have the time to drop off donations, but still want to help? Donate online through the San Diego Food Bank’s Virtual Food Drive! For every $1 donated, 5 meals can be provided to a local family in need.
