The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and our North County Food Bank chapter have been feeding record numbers of individuals and families since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The Food Bank has pivoted to meet the increased demand for food assistance by establishing outdoor, drive-thru food distributions and large-scale high-volume Super Pantries located in communities throughout the county that are open throughout the week.
The report below outlines our efforts to provide emergency food assistance during the height of the pandemic and while the families we serve continue to need help due to the lasting impacts of the crisis. Thanks to you, our generous donors, we have been able to meet the exponential increase in demand for food assistance from the tens of thousands of families impacted by this crisis. Your continued support is ensuring that vulnerable children, families and seniors do not face hunger in our community.
