In San Diego County, many children living in poverty would face hunger over the weekend — if not for the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. Every Friday, the program discreetly provides over 1,700 local kids with a weekend backpack filled with food to last them until they return to school on Monday.

Now, on behalf of the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program, CBS Radio and Molina Healthcare are asking for your help.

How You Can Help – Two Ways

1. You can donate money to the San Diego Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program using Molina Healthcare’s custom Virtual Food Drive. Click the blue button below.

2. You can also donate your time by volunteering at the San Diego Food Bank’s warehouse in Miramar sorting fresh produce or pitching in with loading the backpacks. Click here to sign up for an upcoming volunteer shift.

Together, we can help local children get the food they need to grow and thrive.

A Note About Molina

Over 35 years ago, the organization began as a neighborhood clinic with the goal of bringing quality care to those who need it most.

Today, Molina is a national health care company, but still works hard to nourish the communities its serves.
