San Diego’s largest distillery, Cutwater Spirits, donated enough funds to provide 50,000 meals to those affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Cutwater Spirits is a longtime supporter of the Food Bank. The company has hosted fundraising events, organized volunteer days with its employees, and donated to the Food Bank’s annual gala.
“The Food Bank is always a vital local resource,” says Cutwater Spirits’ General Manager, Shreyas Balakrishnan. “They need our help now more than ever to support those who have been affected by this crisis situation.”
In addition to donating the equivalent of 50,000 meals, Cutwater Spirits is leveraging its resources and dedicating a portion of its production facility to produce an 80% alcohol hand sanitizer in accordance with FDA guidelines. All sanitizer produced is being donated to local non-profits in San Diego County, including the Food Bank and first responders.
Thank you Cutwater Spirits for the amazing support!
