Amber joined the Scripps Health family in January of 2014 and serves as Senior Director of Government Relations. Amber is responsible for educating elected officials and regulators on the unique issues facing Scripps Health in alignment with Scripps’ mission and corporate priorities at the local, state and federal level. Amber represents Scripps with industry associations, public issue groups, and regional business, civic and community-based organizations. She also manages Scripps’ community relations program in coordination with corporate and marketing priorities. Prior to joining Scripps, Amber had been practicing public affairs and government relations in Southern California for 12 years, most recently with Sempra Energy Utilities. Amber has received accolades throughout the years including a 2010 Woman of Distinction Award from Assemblymember Bill Emmerson of the 63rd Assembly District and she was recognized as one of Vista’s “40 under 40” in 2016. Currently, Amber serves in the following leadership roles: University Community Planning Group Member, Member of the Cal State San Marcos University Council, Board Member of the San Diego North Economic Development Council, Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Board Member, Member of the North County Advisory Board for the North County Food Bank and Chair of the Health Committee for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. Amber, her husband Alex and son Ty reside in San Marcos, CA.
