Doug Clark joined the North County Food Bank’s North County Advisory Board after he retired from a 40-year career with Alaska Airlines.  Responsible for generating passenger sales for Alaska Airlines, he also represented them in their community outreach and corporate giving programs. During his time at Alaska Airlines, he was recognized with multiple achievement awards.

Doug has been involved in Rotary since 2000, served as his Club’s President in 2016, and has been the Club’s Director of Community Service for most of his Rotary career.  He was Rotarian of the Year in 2013 & 2020, is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and is one of less than 1000 recipients of the Cliff Dochterman Award.

Doug’s community involvement includes time as a volunteer Firefighter in Valley Center, Junior Achievement instructor, Vice President of the PTA & high school band boosters, Assistant Coach for little league & junior basketball.  He was an Assistant Scout Master, Committee Chair, and Eagle Board of Review Chairman for Boy Scouts in Escondido.  Doug was recognized as Fire Fighter of the Year, Junior Achievement Volunteer of the Year, Boy Scouts Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver Award, one of Scouting’s highest recognitions.

Originally from San Francisco, this California native has lived in North County since 1989.  He is married with four adult children, and multiple grandchildren.  Doug is a long-time supporter of the Food Bank, and a happy member of the North County Advisory Board.
