Jim has been a member of the North County Food Bank’s Advisory Board since his retirement from Foley & Lardner LLP in 2016 where he served as Health Law Department Operating Officer. During his 14 year tenure he was responsible for strategic business planning, contract negotiations with major hospital systems throughout the United States, day-to-day operations, and assisted the Chair in overall attorney evaluations. Prior to this, Jim served as Vice President of a large North County Hospital system and was responsible for oversight of the Behavioral Services Programs, strategic business planning, new product services, and directed the Correctional Behavioral Medicine program at the Vista jail. Jim received his B.A. from Whittier College and doctorate in Community Psychology from Union Institute and University.

His interests include actively participating in Food Bank warehouse and distribution opportunities, motorcycle adventure biking with his two adult sons, whitewater rafting, hiking, and camping in his conversion van with his wife and dog, Gus, throughout the United States.
