Wendy Starling

North County Food Bank Director

Wendy joined the Food Bank team in 2017, leading the newly acquired North County chapter.  She holds accreditation as a Certified Associate in Project Manager (CAPM) with years of experience in the construction industry and brings that experience to the growing North County Food Bank. Wendy has enriched her leadership skills as a graduate of both Essential Management Skills for Nonprofits through the Alliance for Regional Solutions and the Leadership North County Program through CSU San Marcos.

Under Wendy’s management, the North County Food Bank has expanded from a 5,000-square-foot warehouse in San Marcos distributing 75,000 pounds of food per month in the community to a 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Vista distributing over half a million pounds per month.  As the North County Food Bank Director, she oversees all warehouse operations, fleet maintenance, volunteer engagement, nonprofit partner relations, and client services.  She’ll be the first to tell you that her team is incredibly dedicated, hardworking, a making a huge difference in the community on a daily basis!

Wendy serves as a board member for Feeding the Soul Foundation in Oceanside and spends her spare time volunteering with the 501st Legion, a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization with a mission to bring good to communities through volunteer charity work and fundraising. “Do.
