Kristin Howell has been in the real estate industry for more than thirty years, managing all asset classes including Class A Office buildings, Industrial parks, Retail centers and Commercial Owner’s Associations, as well as Residential. Kristin has been with Meissner Commercial Real Estate Services for twenty-one
years, starting out as a Real Estate Manager, then promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager, and in January of 2016, promoted to Vice President / Director of Business Development.
Kristin has been a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) San Diego for fourteen years, serving on the Board of Directors for eight years and as President in 2014 and 2015. During her first year as a BOMA member, Kristin was nominated for the coveted “Rising Star of the Year” award. In 2013, Kristin was awarded the “Leadership and Excellence Award.” In 2010 and again in 2012, Kristin was awarded the “Principal Member of the Year” award for BOMA San Diego. Kristin received the President’s Award from BOMA San Diego in 2017.
Kristin is a member of the San Diego Foodbank’s Golf Tournament Committee, the Burnham Moores Center for Real Estate’s Real Estate Committee; the BOMA San Diego Government Affairs Committee; the IREM REStart Committee; San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation and Land Development Committee; and the East County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee.
Kristin was nominated for San Diego Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 2014. In 2016, Kristin was named by the San Diego Daily Transcript as one of the “100 Influential Leaders in San Diego.” In February 2021, Kristin was listed in the San Diego Business Journal’s “Women of Influence in Construction, Commercial Real Estate, and Design”.
Kristin graduated Cum Laude from California State University Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and, while earning her Associate of Arts from Bakersfield College, was awarded the Departmental Award for Social Sciences from Bakersfield College.
She obtained her Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMI in November 2007 and the Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation from BOMI in May 2018.
