Rick Williams serves as the Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer at Gelson’s, bringing more than 38 years of experience in the Southern California grocery retail industry. Throughout his career, Rick has held various roles in store operations, merchandising, and marketing, as well as corporate leadership positions. His expertise in premium merchandising and marketing is a perfect fit for Gelson’s commitment to delivering top-quality products and exceptional service.
Rick is passionate about community engagement, particularly in addressing food insecurity. His commitment to serving the community extends beyond the retail space, as he has actively supported law enforcement, serving as a Reserve Police Officer and a Police Officer Trainer.
An advocate for continuous learning, Rick has completed the USC Food Industry Executive Program, the McKinsey Executive Leadership Program, and is a RMCP graduate. Additionally, he has contributed to leadership development as both a Leadership Facilitator and Diversity Facilitator, helping others grow and succeed professionally.
